Founded by Scarlett Marton in 1996, Nietzsche
Studies Group aims at accomplishing the long-standing
purpose of bringing together Brazilian scholars of Nietzsche’s
philosophy, and therefore giving rise to the discussion on questions
that were brought up by his thought.
Attempting to add seriousness to Nietzsche studies in Brazil,
Nietzsche Studies Group acts in three different
fronts: Cadernos Nietzsche (the Journal), Coleção
Sendas & Veredas (the book series on Nietzsche) and
Encontros Nietzsche (meetings of Nietzsche Studies
Group).
Being a pioneering initiative in South America, Nietzsche
Studies Group intends to diffuse the research on Nietzsche’s
thought in Brazil but tries staying constantly well-connected
with the different international Nietzsche Societies nonetheless.
