The conference theme is Exploring the African Language Connection
in the Americas. We welcome papers addressing the conference
theme, focusing on issues related to the contact between
African languages and European and Indigenous languages in
the Americas, or any other topic related to African languages
and linguistics. The topics include, but are not limited

CALL FOR PAPER AND POSTER PRESENTATIONS
Abstracts are solicited for 20-min oral presentations
to be presented in parallel sessions, and for poster presentations.
Each proposal will be reviewed anonymously by two members of
a large international panel. Notifications of the Organizing
Committee's decisions will be sent out by March 28,
2008.

the deadline for the submission of an abstract, in English
or French,
containing the following information:
- author name(s) and affiliation(s)
- address information (incl. fax and email)
- title of presentation
- preferred format (oral presentation or poster)
- three to five keywords
- a 500-word summary
Abstracts should be sent in PDF format, or postscript attachments
